Sky Ball Info
The Airpower Foundation, one of America's longest serving military charities, is proud to present Sky Ball XI which will take place on Saturday 5 October 2013 at the American Airlines Hangar at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. There simply is no other event in the Country that matches the scope, power, and impact of Sky Ball and this year will set the bar to an even higher level than ever before.
2013 will mark the eleventh anniversary of Sky Ball and it will be the best yet, American Airlines, Bell Helicopter, Armed Forces Insurance, the USO, PSAV, One Hope Wine, OnSite OHS, and Greyhound are just a few of the Patriotic Companies and Organizations to support Sky Ball and make a difference for many deserving charities that support our Veterans, the men and women that wear the cloth of the Nation and their families.
We are especially excited to welcome The Dallas Fort Worth International Airport as a presenting sponsor for this marquee event. The DFW Airport has long been a gateway for those that serve in the Armed Forces of the United States and their families and as the new home for Sky Ball, DFW will continue to serve as an ambassador in support of those whose sacrifice reminds us every day that Freedom is not Free.
In addition to the Black Tie Gala on Saturday 5 October, there will be a free concert on Friday 4 October for 3,000 military family members. On Thursday 3 October, along with Military.com, the Non Commissioned Officers Association, and the Veterans to Work Program, The AirPower Foundation will host a Career Expo, to facilitate employment, education, vocational, and other resources to Veterans and their families.
Airpowerfoundation.com also provides detailed overviews of Sky Ball and the worthwhile organizations Sky Ball supports, such as Snowball Express, The Gary Sinise Foundation, The Medal of Honor Foundation, Thanks USA, The American Fallen Soldiers Project, Wounded Warrior Support, Honor Flights in support of The Greatest Generation, and support for the families of service members stationed at Naval Air Station, Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth and other military installations across the US.
Sky Ball XI honors all of our Military service members and our Nation's Veterans with a special thanks to those that have served in Afghanistan, and include a Salute to the United States Army. Several of America's 81 living Recipients of the Medal of Honor along with many distinguished guests and dignitaries will be in attendance. We will be privileged to host many wounded warriors as special VIP guests of Sky Ball XI. On behalf of Sky Ball Co Chairmen Captain Jim Palmersheim, Jim Crites and Mike Snyder, please join us to make a difference in the lives of the men and women and their families that have made a difference for us by becoming a sponsor at Sky Ball XI
